Whilst on this subject, does anyone else suffer with the malaise of 'Tool Travel'.

Whenever I am working under a vehicle, on my back, I can carefully place a spanner or such, in close proximity to say, my right shoulder.
When needing said tool again, it has somehow migrated behind my head, usually to a distance 2" further than my arms reach!

In my younger years, if on my back under the dozer, I could place quite a few spanners and sockets on my flat , muscular stomach.

However, in the fullness of time, plus the curvature of the earth, sockets no longer sit .😾

Yeah, the old "One size fits all" seems to be a load of bollocks when it comes to motors..[bigrolf]


In my case he went home & cut down a Metric screw which is doing the job but it is a puzzle where the original got to. We tried dragging Magnets around & raking the cut grass with a small hand tool but still came up with not a thing.

Of course it isn't one, but it fits the description of my tool. Ahem, not "My Tool" you understand, although it has been admired from time to time but alas, not lately., that would be silly, but it is the tool that is on my shelf next to the magnet on a stick, if you get my drift?
