How does one get to the Valley these days? I've been waiting at this tram stop, for a 109, for yonks.[bigsad]
See what you started, Epic. :bat:
109 was any tramline route back to Light St., eg Toombul (Clayfield), Chermside (Lutwyche), Stafford, Grange, Bardon, Ashgrove, Salisbury or the City.
The buses today, still have 109 on them...
Bloody trams, you guys need to get up with the times, and,no its not a Trolly bus.[biggrin]
Although i have seen a few tram looking things down on the coast

That would appear to be correct Brian. When buses took over they seem to have inherited the tram route numbers with a 1 preceeding, eg New Farm tram route being 78 became 178.
Did trams and buses ply the same routes, simultaneously? Trams were before my time.
