I have several slide rules (somewhere, I think), including my father's Faber-Castell. But as a toolmaker in an aircraft engine factory, he tended to use seven figure log tables rather than his slide rule.
Similarly, pre-calculators, I tended to use four figure log tables rather than my slide rule, except for aerial navigation, which was circular slide rule all the way.
Gosh haven't heard the world slide rule in a long time [emoji33] dad has one! Fair sure he only used it for his aircraft/pilot things [emoji848]
