Don't panic and stress just yet Epic! It may just be a faulty thermostat on the line to the cooler, or the line itself. Not sure just how it can blow the ATF out if it does not have a dip stick?
[QUOTE=Epic_Dragon;3065884]well after it being fine, needed to get a round bale which is honestly maybe a 7 km drive from home. Thought see how it goes towing the float. Hadn't even gotten far enough for car to warm up! Hot trans spat ALL fluid out everywhere! Lost drive
rolled in neutral to side of road where could fit with float. Raa suggested take car straight to the mechanic which it was booked in and due to be dropped off on Tuesday anyway. Stressing now because I've never had a car dropped off at mechanic without letting them know. Have to ring them when they open at 8am when they open.
Twice on a tow truck in a week![]()
Hope everyone has had a much better day than me![]()
Worse things happen at Sea (ask bob) & at least you are on a dry, albeit a somewhat oily bit of land. Don't despair.
From what I have read on here over the years you are doing alright ie. twice in 2 weeks is nothing in the scheme of LR things.
Some owners haven't quite made the Workshop door before things go haywire so be thankful for small mercies, it will be ok on the day. Trust me, I am a Real Estate Dealer.![]()
Cannot your Dad have a look?
Sounds more like a hose to cooler issue (known, common) than a mechanical problem. Ask Rick, I think his had a ride on a tilt tray too.

My poor disco has so much weight on its shoulders![]()
It had a new trans cooler fitted at time of last trans rebuild but definitely something going on there haha.
Im now venting my panicked self by shooting lots of aliens in video game land.
Hope mechanic place isn't angry it got dropped off there! I guess it happens a lot though. I hope.
Nah, this time next week you'll be looking back wondering what you were panicking about.

EDIT
That place has an arrangement for AH breakdowns & the towie knows what to do. They leave your car down the back & I recall the keys are left above the sunvisor or in the letterbox.
I had to have my D1 taken after hours for a Distributor problem & they assured me it would be ok & it was. It would still pay to check in the morning.
Is this the same workshop who did all the work a year ago?
