As far as I know, the only servicing to do on the transmission, in your car, is fluid and filter. No bands to adjust anymore. What fluid did you use?

I think I'll drop the trans fluid and re fill fresh so can use the car till it sees mechanic not next week, one after, and clean oil up to try trace. Probably do need new rocker cover gasket too
Did the car sit for a while when it leaked? If so, the torque converter can drain back and overfill the trans - and you can get a leak from the dipstick o ring - happens on my Jag if I leave it undriven for a while at a certain angle in the driveway. You can run it all you like and not see the this type of leak.
If you need to contact me please email homestarrunnerau@gmail.com - thanks - Gav.

Thats all they will do, if anything turns up problems wise, back to a trans specialist. With it going fine though hopefully not The COVID-19 & Corona free thread.

I guess that the Jag has a Borg Warner 35 auto the same as in my old Rover P6B 3500. It used to do that and the culprit was the lip seal on the selector shaft input. If used regularly the oil would not accumulate high enough, but made an ungodly mess if left standing for a couple of weeks.

I have not worked on them, but I suspect that the D2 auto does not have such an input selector shaft.

Hosing like that would see you going backwards to Bordertown, assuming the Blue Hose is a few hundred KM long.
