That's the fuel pressure regulator you are looking at there. Known to leak from time to time, diesel not trans fulid. Did mine twice when I had a D2. Not a cheap item if you buy complete but you can get the regulator and gasket seperate and save some dollars and more if you can do it yourself or someone you know can do it for you. Just need an extra elbow.

Now - Not a Land Rover (2018 Dmax)
    Was - 2008 D3 SE 4.0l V6
    Was - 2000 D2 TD5 with much fruit.

Cannot find where it came/coming from. Other than around whatever these are on upper right area of trans just near bell housing. As well as little black hose to nowhere haha. Breather pipes?
Old girl still actually driving ok. Going to ring mechanic tomorrow and ask if they service transmissions too whilst it there, or who they recommend. It's not even done service kms since last rebuild from the auto place fixing their bad job of old part failing

Aaahhhhh I can see the problem. You ran over a young sheila & dislodged a hose from somewhereget her out from under & job done.

I recall you once telling us that Legacy was smart enough to predict which way you were going to go, by looking at the front wheels of your converted ride-on mower. Franklin must confuse poor Legaçy.

Hard to tell from these photos. Definitely leaking something somewhere. Sometimes you can see the FPR dripping with the engine running. Looking at the back of the head in that first photo you may need a new rocker cover gasket. Did you put your finger on that drip on the cross member above your chin? What colour was it? Black - probably oil, reddish - possibly trans fluid. Leaking FPR in mine also killed the Crank Position Sensor (CPS) which is below the FPR in the bellhousing.

Haha no wedding bells, I am my own woman, no fella Haha. I called it Franklin because it's a little package of bad*** and full of surprises, just like USS Franklin the starship.

Trans fluid and its all burnt Trans fluid The COVID-19 & Corona free thread. cannot find where it all came from either, even was under there with it running a while and nothing I could see. I think I'll drop the trans fluid and re fill fresh so can use the car till it sees mechanic not next week, one after, and clean oil up to try trace. Probably do need new rocker cover gasket too
