A bale of lucerne in the back? Oh the ignominy for a Land Rover![]()
New brakes for my beloved disco! Fronts are undersized, so decided to upgrade them a bit to boost stopping power. And keeping everything in tip top shape for this fight for the hand controls!![]()

Must admit, I love the smell of good lucerne fodder .
You would have carted plenty ex Darling Downs i presume Ian.
Never off the Downs, Dave. I used to buy up to a couple of pallets in Ipswich, space dependent in the dry van, for resale in Normanton.
Carted more than a few loads of crappy hay off the Atherton Tableland to Lockyer Valley. It was a last resort backload, needing tarps to be tightened every couple of hours.
If you don't like trucks, stop buying stuff.
Agree John, that is what Mr. Wilks had in mind, I suppose I should have found a tongue in cheek emoji ......I realised after I might get a rap across the knuckles.
On our farm in Tassie ,after the Clydesdales, dad had a ‘52 Landrover that did everything , discing, seeding ,mowing, sawmill, spraying with a 44 of DDT in the back, than a rudimentary clean before town once a fortnight .
Now days I have a Landmark, that cost more than all dad’s farms and four LandRovers ,put together , and that gets treated just like Epicdragon’s , I hope she understood.
