They changed 1 to be 2 clamps and did that and that one has stayed on, the other was just replaced as came off after all thr pulley bearings got replaced. I didn't make it home then turned out needed whole new line not even used q tank of fuel yet
Will ask if they can upgrade/change press fastener thing like they did on other line

Not being familiar with those but if was any other general hose connection the Male end really should be swadged ie. expanded, & possibly double clamped as well, with the screw/nuts of the clamps being at 180* to each other & certainly one of those behind any swadging.


Is it fitted with a silly push on "O" ring connection?

Is there much Male metal section to take 2 x Screw Clamps & is the internal bore of the hose in good condition or damaged?


Just checked in my D1 Manual for ZF4HP22 but cannot find a reference to the hose or it's connector.

If it works, why not? Haven't a clue what pressure is involved, so there may possibly be another cause. There is a pump so not impossible unless it is a Hi Flo & not a Lo Flo Pump.


Have never owned an Auto until I got rid of the D1 & got an auto Mazda. Sort of makes me wish I should have bought an Auto Discovery.

When my D1 Facelift came out every optional thing was 2 Grand extra. Auto, Air Bags, Diseasel, Rear doors. But that was in 1995, 1 year Warranty WOW! But AC was standard & so were 4 wheels.

It was trans line on transmission end this time. Old that part was. Was bringing it home but it got stuck in a gear, then was ok, then didn't want to reverse then hard shifted and then completely fine. So took it back for them to check fluid levels are ok. Maybe was just air or something but thought better br safe they check it as wasn't too far. It's not shifted weird once before that.
I hope though this nightmare of these trans lines is now over. Can't take much more need my old girl being her awesome, reliable self.

But old girl was fine they think it was a stuck valve from losing the fluid. They are legends there at Adelaide hills mechanical. I worry if they hate my car and I for these dramas Hope don't see them till service time now
