Better than lurking around a ferry.

    Hello All,

After being given the incorrect tracking number by the dealer - I had to contact the transport mob myself. With the correct number punched in I can now track my new to me vehicle and trace where it has been and where it is now

My vehicle went from the car dealer to High Wycombe on the 7th of April
It then went to Perth (Rail)
It went from Perth Rail to Footscray (Rail) and arrived there on the 15th of April
It then went from Footscray to Truganina also on the 15th of April
The vehicle's status in now YTM or Yet to be Moved..... from Truganina

So it looks like my car had some train rides across a couple of states.

The next task is to go on Google Map and have a look see where it has been and where it is now.

I suppose at least it is on the same side of Australia as me. Just in the wrong direction - should be heading North up to me... I must be patient... argggggghhhh!

    Kind regards
    Lionel

It's slowly returning west, Lionel. Truganina is about half an hour west of Melbourne.

    Hello Ian,

Yes - and a very exciting place it looks too - via Google Map Satellite view. What would the initials VL mean next to where the vehicle is waiting the next stage of the trip? As in Truganina (VL). It was the only code the transport mob did not provide an explanation for - go figure!

    Kind regards
    Lionel

    Hello Ian,

Me too - apparently the car transport mob must combine different modes of transport. It is being handled by

I was informed that my car, "will be on the next available truck to Queensland" ...

    Whenever that is?

    Kind regards

    That's pretty open ended, 2039?
Should've said PoD, that would've added some degree of urgency.

    Hello All,

I had a look on their main webpage. It turns out that each of their depots are called VL locations or Vehicle Logistics. For example, their Perth is located on Milner Road High Wycombe WA

The car is currently waiting patiently at Truganina (VL) on Doriemus Drive, Truganina Victoria

It makes a bit of sense - once I thought about it.

    Kind regards
    Lionel
