In understand your frustration - my 85yo uncle got his Seniors Health Card taken off him based on his income determined by the ATO. Fair enough, but it was a one off and since then his income has been well below the threshold. Do they take the new income from his later tax returns - well no as according Centrelink he may have misled the tax office so a new application has to be made.
After a year of dealing with Centrelink where you meet their demands and then they have new requirements and you meet that and then there are more - I gave up.
I started the new application process in March 2019 and after a year jumping through hoops I just gave up - it is just too hard.
As a result you have an 85yo with early onset dementia, living in a nursing home and paying $4500 a month for the privilege but cannot get the Seniors Health card.
Yep - dont get me started on Centrelink (oh they stole my Tax Return a few years back even through I personally have nothing to deal with them - another story)
