We waited patiently and on March the 17 we got the news that a heap of funding has been approved. It made me happy that some quality to life was going to be achieved. Now I have a plan co ordinator and a plan manager to get the services happening.
Then I today I get an email saying the home modifications involving a suitable bathroom /toilet and and safe access for me to the home is a lengthy process and can take from 9 months to 3 years to complete.
NDIS registered builders and quotes etc etc.
This put a damper on things again , as I am showering out of a bucket at the moment, I turned to Heather and said I probably wont be around to see the end result and use it. She replied that's what she was thinking but she didn't want to say it. The virus isn't helping with this either.
Good news is I'm getting a hire wheel chair with power soon until I get my own and possibly an electric lift chair to sit on.
I have another NDIS meeting next March to check that my goals are being achieved and to make sure that I have done my part to achieving them, bit hard I think considering.

I think it is appalling Mario, the NDIS has seemingly become the pinnacle of bureaucracy..... and a bureaucracy cannot serve, only obfuscate.
