Then again, what Admiral keeps the same email address long enough for it to become publicly known
They probably offer some court marshall victim a deal- edit the Admirals emails for a month or go to the brig..

The problem with firing across the bows of the Indo boats is that they know they almost certainly won't be shot AT.
The navy (or our lot) apparently have to go to Canberra (and probably wake someone up) to get permission to shoot the actual boat (the engine thereof, I hasten to add). So really as an Indo fisherman you'd try running, wouldn't you ?!

They may just have to have a series of accidents where the bow of the navy ship accidentally shunts the port side of the fishing trawler. Fine an enquiry might cost a few mill and the independant enquiry a few more but do it a few times and the problem would be solved. When you take into consideration the coast of detaining, upkeeping , processing and deporting crews and then destroying trawlers. Australia might financialy come out in front

Seriously though, I wonder how many persons get the full BCS in a year. Is it all that common or just an extreme urban legend

And do the customs officials send them flowers afterwards?

We don't do BCS any more. But we do have to look at people's poo from timew to time (long disgusting story).

Instead, we send people up to the hospital where they are examined by CT, xray or ultrasound.

    Very PC.

They should bring them back if the persons are prepared to bring substances into our fine country they should be physically and emotionally punished. I wouldn't imagine it something they would forget fairly quickly, but then what if they're innocent

My thoughts exactly when I watched that recent episode. Can you imagine the US Coast Guard firing a few bullets well in front of the boat?
