Thread: A stark reminder of the efeectiveness of the Bushmaster against IED's

I use to know a guy who was doing his welding apprenticeship there. I think he said the thinnest material he welded was 8mm.
Another guy I knew use to do the gardening there - his ride on mower use to come home with some heavy duty magnets stuck to the bottom of it.

The belly plates were made of 20mm bis not sure of the grade and a business just up the road supplied it. The sheets were 125mm too wide and that was cut off before delivery to the factory. One could get 8 lengths of 2.4 m long for a slab before it went in the waste bin. I got tonnes of it and the pub must have thought I had a drink problem.
It has certainly been handy.
