I can understand some changes like in SE Asia I think it was Colgate sold "Darkie" toothpaste with a picture AFAIK of a cartoon black person with atop hat and shiny teeth.

The picture was changed from Al Jolsen like. Funnily enough I couldn't find any example of The darkie Logo. ( was able to find later)
