Not online tests- they put your address, date of birth and drivers license details up for everGosh I am glad I live in Vic today
NSW Transport is yet to alert up to tens of thousands of people whose full driver's licence details were mistakenly left exposed in an open cloud storage.
The cache was discovered last week by Ukrainian security consultant Bob Diachenko who stumbled upon the directory while investigating another data breach Data breach exposes tens of thousands of NSW driver’s licences online - ABC News
"Identity theft, fraud cost consumers more than $16 billion" US 2017 Weak stuff as it "costs Australia around $36 billion annually"
NSW claim they have removed the data breach now. AHEM- Web go back or web time machine, cached pages ....... not quiet total exposure but any one with a little computer knowledge can still find your details. Never had a NSW license. Funny yarn about that- They did not like me driving myself to the driving test (I had a Military permit) Happy about that now
Hint -I would be checking my credit rating every few months or so if I lived in NSW.
I think it is rude to knock Tabulam Bridge down now, as people might like to see it one last time but can't with all the C-19 border closures, I know I would. I hope they delay it until the NSW-Qld border opens, so I can get down there.
Old Tabulam Bridge set for demolition, community unites to save original '''historically rare''' structure - ABC News
"The original Tabulam Bridge is the longest single-span, wooden truss bridge in the southern hemisphere and holds historical significance for its local Indigenous and non-Indigenous communityThe bridge has been delisted from the State Heritage Register and will be demolished at the completion of the replacement bridge"
When it suits authorities stuff can suddenly become of no historical significance.
My BiL owned a heritage listed, commercial property, that he made numerous applications to upgrade and modernise. Each application was refused on the grounds that the building was of high, historical and heritage significance. The government resumed it, demolishing it for road infrastructure.
If you don't like trucks, stop buying stuff.
Can it still be the longest single span bridge if it is supported by pylons across it's length?
Serious Q.
I suspect it is to give employment to some local Contractor & Salvage Yard. Cynical? Moi? Oh yes. Can you imagine the coin that it will be worth when in bits? It seems to be bloody more beautiful than the concrete monstrosity in the background
So true, the original Cotter Dam near Canberra was heritage listed and due to droughts etc authorities wanted to make it higher to increase dam capacity but were prevented from doing so because of the heritage listing.
So a new, much higher dam was built 100m downstream from the heritage listed dam - so now there is a new dam and the old heritage dam still exists unchanged but is now 10m under the higher surface level of the new dam.

A Bailey Bridge could be a single span bridge albeit with a huge bow in the middle. Ok, it isn't all timber if any at all. Deck Planks are.
Supported, they can go miles if needs be & they have sufficient components.. The Highways Dept here used a number & one in parallel with a permanent bridge they were building over the River Torrens at Paradise/Dernancourt operated as a regular Bridge until the present one was completed & must have been there for a couple of years & we used it each day.
Quite a few were used around the Snowies as I recall.
Fascinating things Baileys.
