"Australian budget airline Tigerair has been shut down, with parent company Virgin Australia deciding to close the brand after 13 years.

In a statement emailed to customers on Thursday night, Tigerair said the decision was difficult.
"There is no denying these are tough times for everyone in the travel and tourism industry," the statement said.
Customers who had bought tickets for Tigerair flights will be able to use travel credit for flights operated by Virgin Australia.

James, I suspect you are too much of Proper Gent to be rude to the extent that you believe you have so I suspect you may be using sarcasm instead.

'Selfish' woman from border checkpoint video arrested, window smashed

    By Rachael Dexter

A woman who last week posted a video refusing to answer questions posed by a police officer at a Melbourne checkpoint has been arrested in dramatic fashion today.
According to Victoria Police, members from the Dandenong Frontline Tactical Unit arrested the 28-year-old Warrandyte woman following a vehicle intercept on Princes Street in Carlton about 1:55pm

"The woman was intercepted on Princes St as police wanted to speak to her following an incident at a vehicle checkpoint in Bunyip on 23 July," a police spokesman said.

The woman was asked for her name and address, her licence and an explanation for why she was travelling – all of which she refused to give, and was arrested.
"During the arrest, police were forced to break the woman’s car window as she refused to speak to them, wind down her window, or step out of the vehicle," the spokesman said.
"The woman has been released pending summons for traffic-related offences, failing to produce a licence, failing to produce name and address, and breaches of the Chief Health Officer’s directives."

I had an incredibly rude bird deposit droppings on my car while I was hosing the dust off it under a tree, this has happened a few times so I've decided the next time it happens, I am going to direct the hose vertically up the tree and give him the bidet from hell!
