Australia post fixed there issues with our local post office being to small and to busy .............................................. By closing the bloody thing AAARRRRhhhhhhhh

There is a new suburb built about 10kms away, so they put a new post office there and decided that could be our postoffice. They ignored the 3 billion complaints they got. They then "re-mapped" the local zones. Now we have to drive out to Bunninyong ..... out of town .... a direction you would never travel for any reason to collect the mail. The local postman, when he does bother to come NEVER EVER delivers a single parcel. Anything bigger than a letter, we have to now drive to bloody bunninyong to collect rather than the post office 3minutes away.

Australia post is a joke. You have no idea how bad the series of postman have been over the last decade. Each worse than the last. They are all contractors .... and will be being paid so little I'm suprised they can afford to run their cars over the route. So obviously they do a little as humanly possible.

To make a clean breast of it, I don't even have an Amazon!
I've had a couple supposedly from same or similar awhile ago saying what I'd ordered was no longer available and they needed my a/c details to refund the bucks. One was for about $300.

Can imagine some would be tempted, even if they'd never dealt with the company supposedly involved.

Few years ago brother & I had a PO box @ post Office 10 min's from me , it was in an industrial estate & very easy to get into , AP closed it because they said it was not doing enough business , I did a rough count of PO boxes & there was around 400 to 500 & they always had a line up with people sending parcels & picking up. We had a choice between to PO's in two other suburbs booth another 15min's drive away, one was in a large shopping centre which had around 150 boxes & was very hard to get parking , the other had about 100 boxes but was in opposite direction to where I was heading each day. We chose the second & payed for them to send an email when there was mail to PU . Only problem with that is we would receive Emails when it was junk mail in the box as well.
As for the second part of your post when we had our business we were getting a flat rate for a pallet up to 1T guaranteed same day delivery from one side of Brisbane to the other , the amount they were charging I wouldn't even start the engine of my ute for it.

At least you get mail delivered. No deliveries here, and only 40km by road to the Community Postal Agency. (But 6km cross country)

However, to chalk one up for Australia Post - on Tuesday I posted a present to my grand daughter 400km away. Phone call a short while ago to say it got there. Mind you, it cost twice what the present did.

Or, strictly speaking, only one breast, (singular...)

Amazons only have one breast. The other being removed to aid archery, or so I'm told,
