My list of cars I regret selling has some similarities.
-02 D2 (first and only car owned from new)
-87 RRC (which I installed a new Disco 3.9 short motor)
-83 RRC (an Aussie assembled CKD 4 door in Holden Satin Green)
-79 Holden Overlander
-74 XB Fairmont
-74 XB Panel Van (optioned with GS Rally pack, rear mattress/cushions, curtains (naturally), and the fibreglass side cupboards and esky)
-70 XW GT (in Starlight Blue) [emoji24][emoji24][emoji24]
Interesting that all but 1 in my list were fitted with V8’s.
Truth be told of the 15 cars my wife and I have owned there was only 2 we were happy to see the back of and both were Ford Telstar’s (we each had one before we met - actually not bad cars but just boring).
But yes - not keeping the XY GT HO PIII would be hard to live with Tombie. I feel your pain.....
Raced in Oz too early 80’s, sponsored by Barclays Bank.
