It was suggested more than once. His counter was sporting a Toyota camel or two afterwardsOriginally Posted by DEFENDERZOOK

A few years ago a van (HiAce or similar) hit a horse on the M4 Motorway here in Sinney.
The photo in the paper showed the horse had gone through the windscreen and ended up in the back of the van. The driver did not survive.

RIP Bucko - Riding on Forever
Not a camel, but when I lived in Kenya I helped on the support crew for the Kenya Safari Rallyy for a Subaru rally team, and they were a DNF in the previous season because they hit a giraffe!!
Not much damage to the front of the car, because it was mainly the legs but the boot was squished flat where the body landed. End of rally for them!
Along time ago, when it was quite normal and accepted social practice to drink an awful lot of beer & drive home, A friend and I were going home from a merry gathering about 2.00am, & well ****ed. Unbeknown to us a circus was in town.Along Gympie Road I sighted a camel tethered next to the footpath at a park. I kept my counsel, thinking "I am definitely ****ed. I had better cut back. I am seeing things." Half a mile or so towards town, my mate reached across, gave me a poke in the ribs, and very quietly & worriedly said, "Did you see a f-----g camel back there?"Originally Posted by rick130

Ain't that just the thing...you can't use a hose to wash your car but you CAN use a bucket. I think we used about 13 bucketfuls to wash Gandalf after the Hay River Trip. I'm sure we would have used less with the hoseOriginally Posted by solmanic

No...but when living near Tamworth we hit 2 roos within a week. One was Numpty on his way to work in the Datson 180B, a big black euro about 5 ft tall, totally wrote the thing off, but being poorbies we had to get it repaired at our cost as only 3rd party insurance. Quick trip to a wreckers in Sydney for guards, grill, bonnet, radiator etc etc and then a backyard repairer had it for about 8 weeks fixing it. Same week hit a roo in the Stage 1...couldn't get it fixed until the Datsun was back on the road...try getting the girl at the NRMA to understand why we were claiming repairs for damage some 2 months after the accidentOriginally Posted by dobbo
Stage 1 needed a new guard...I think at the time they were about $1600 (can't imagine the cost now...15yrs later)
