    A bit breezy in Utah

Well, V8Ian and other gear jammers amongst the Aulro membership. How would you like to have to cope with these conditions?

Nice parallel parking in the video, even if the wheels aren't on the ground

There is a town called Hurricane in Utah, reputed to be because the founder's surry had its top blown off.

The scenery is unbelievably spectacular and the inexperience of the people getting bogged is mind boggling, like the woman with a Prius who thought it could get up some rock steps.

It took 6 hours to recover. I love his Youtube videos as he is a pretty normal bloke.

Australian truckies wouldn't ignore road closures or warnings.
If you don't like trucks, stop buying stuff.

Quite so, Ian. True gentlemen all. They would never overload, forge log books, fiddle with speed limiters, ignore restrictions on driving hours, take pills and so on.

If drivers .....and owners got paid proper rates it wouldnt have to be like that.

It all starts at the big supermarkets trying to keep their costs down......and profits up

+1 on Matt's recovery. However, he is also a bit of a thick bloke. I have seen him do snatch recoveries on tow balls and what not. No weighing down the recovery lines (winch or snatch) so if they snap they go every where, etc. Recovering on powder like sand on a mid day sun (wait till dusk to get the sand to cool down?) and the list goes on and on. Very entertaining to watch though

I don't think that is how it started, even if they have gleefully jumped on the bandwagon.

A cousin of mine found himself out of a job about sixty-five years ago after his employer was put out of business when the authorities twigged to the fact that they had found that travelling Sydney to Walgett in a Hippo loaded with drummed petrol was more profitable if the waste space between the drums was filled with oxygen cylinders. Seems that carrying a mixed load of petrol and oxygen was considered hazardous.

There were no supermarkets in Australia sixty-five years ago. Return load, I think, was one layer of wool bales, with empty drums and cylinders on top.
