I am not in Australia, but just as general info: I have been involved here in Thailand awhile ago when those cars were still current, or just over 5 years old. The Jap models do not vary very much from other markets, mainly the lights and on some of them, the alarm systems. I would have thought that by now most of those models that you mention have been sold by now because of the Jap licensing system.
All the ones that I have seen have been very low mileage cars, but to bring then into Thailand they had to be cut in half and imported as parts. I have a photo somewhere of a P38 with just 50k on the clock cut in half. Enough to make you cry!
I have been looking into importing my old Discovery into Australia when I move back there, hopefully next year. It can develop into a can of worms if the correct procedure is not followed. I do not know any agents, but "Caveat emptor"!
