I sure was, I asked her from what, her job? LOL. I dont need anyone to push me, or actually do anything other than they would for anyone else in there, the machine just comes lower haha. easy. They have now made changes from my complaint so all turned out well in the end. The actual nurse ladies were lovely themselves but everyone else was not, especially that one. The world just cant handle us hahaha

Epic Dragon, what sort of seat have you on your EWC?

I'm getting saddle sore on my lift chair at home where I spend most of my Day. It has memory foam
and was comfy when I first got it, but now is getting uncomfortable. An air cushion can be fitted to it and retro fitting one on top of the seat make it too high to sit on and my OT said I have a risk of falling off it.

My hire EWC has a gell seat but that feels uncomfortable now and there is a risk of pressure sores for me.

The New prescription EWC that's being built and it won't be available until Late Feb or early March.
I spoke to me new OT about it and she said an air cushion could be fitted to the new chair.

It has a recaro seat on it to my measurements roughly. My wheelchair has a jay ion cushion which I've not had a single pressure sore yet, and doesn't get too hot even on the hot days. The air cushion might be just want you need

Well it' now February, I get an email from the wheel chair platform lift company to sign the contract for $25K lift and assembly om site). I sign it and email it back. 2 Days later another email saying I need to sign another contract for $27.5K and advising me that there is approx a 16 week delay due to part shortage. So I start asking questions why the increase. The reason a stuff up on the NDIS approving an allocating the funding the extra $2.5K were marked as options over basic lift, prescribed by O.T like automatic gates and a GSM emergency phone ec. These were to be funded for. So since the funding has already been done they now need to take that extra funding from something else.

The portable shower still not received although I was told I should have had it installed last week, no one has contacted me yet.

Still waiting on the hire bed to be taken away as we are still paying rent on it, even though one has been purchased and paid for and waiting to be delivered. 2 different companies need to be co ordinated on the same day,

We had the hire mattress picked up and our own mattress delivered. The Swedish made mattress is about $8K, and doesn't seem to pump up as it should to correct settings and the alarm goes off on the compressor and I can feel the steel bed bars below. A technician is coming on Monday.

My edema compression system did arrive for a 3 month try hire. so my legs and feet are looking much better.

For the rest I'll just have too wait again.

And the MPTP concession application I submitted 4 weeks ago, and my doctor submitted the Doctors required information on line as required through the doctor portal, shortly after they email me to sign a consent form which I returned. As l hadn't heard back from them I rang the department, spoke to a lady there. I was told I was no longer on New Start as they checked Human Services and l would have to email our last years tax assessments and said I might not qualify as regulation changed. So I did as instructed, now being on the dole for 1 week whilst a young lad haunts you for ever, it stays on your file.

That night I had another look at their web site and saw the you had to prove financial hardship. , but further down it states wheel chair dependants are exempt from the financial test.

So I ring them again the next morning asking why they needed tax returns when the web site says I'm exempt a I'm disabled and have a wheel chair to access the community. I then found the reason, my Doctors on line report had the mobility scooter option ticked instead of wheel chair. So if my doctor resubmits the correct info on the portal then I should be ok. So I just have to wait.
I suppose years of fishing under my belt has made me patient.

Sure, but you had the prospect of a decent feed at the end of it.
