? ... umm, one of Japan's project series (named for a peregrine falcon / or motorbike ?) - we're apparently besties with the Japanese now

Is it China or Japan. News this morning definitely said Japan.

FYI, the motorbike ( and space craft ) was named after the Falcon.

So the title is just Click Bait - has nothing to do with China - is Japanese - I know they all look the same but are a vastly different group of people.

The motorbike was named as the Hayabusa because it was known to hunt Blackbirds... China loves us today...

I thought the bird and spacecraft were named afterthe bike.

    Nope, it's Japan - it's a Japanese spacecraft.

Really not the same people at all, despite both countries being in North Asia.

Hayabusa is the Japanese name for the Peregrine falcon.

Having lived in Japan and worked in China, I can assure you that they do not look the same.

In point of fact the people in different parts of China look very different and, quite apart from the different ethnic groups, it's usually possible to tell if someone is from the North or down around Hong Kong.

I think people are confusing the Chinese mission to sample rocks on the moon, and the Japanese mission to sample an asteroid.

Can you get a sample on the Sushi Train or Hard Rock Cafe?
