    I am pretty sure you are correct.. In the early 80’s I was working on the IBM mainframes at AMP and all the DASD (disk storage) was in a lead lined room on the 7 or 8th floor at the Circular Quay office. This was apparently after the Navy had accidentally run its radar and caused significant loss of data. Oops

    Of course other incidents could have occurred at other times but as you implied, precautions were taken post event, it is anybody's guess.

    Thing is, it could happen & cause a heap of damage.

    The BNZ had the first ATM’s in NZ in 1978.

    Seem to remember a movie I watched years ago where turning the radar on in the ship allows the crew to control the odds in the casino. You telling me this was not true?
