    Hi,
In Hobart, years ago, the roller door repair companies were inundated with calls from owners to stop the doors cycling up and down.
There was a USN ship in port at the time, but nothing was confirmed or denied.
    The phenomena suddenly ceased.
    Cheers

Hhhhhhmmmmm. I think the cops would get a bit sus if I took one of those out of the car boot on North Tce adjacent to the Adelaide Casino, & the street lights started dimming each time the reflector/deflector pointed at them.

    But a good thought though.

That reminds me of a supposedly true story from the UK some years back. You may have seen it 3T.

A cop fiddling with his RADAR Gun on the roadside pointed it at a low flying Phantom Jet to check it's speed.

Apparently it has Defensive Measures on board & reflected the energy back to the cop's gun. Thing was supposed to have exploded in his hands.

A good yarn if it was true but you may have seen summat about it in the media years ago?

    EDIT.
Checking online I couldn't find that one but this story has been around for yonks. Maybe I got it ballsed up?

Did a Police Radar Gun Almost Cause a Missile Launch?

There is an element of truth in the police hand held radar and the RAF. My father told that story in the early 90’s.

That is about the time I heard it from Scots Copper but it was a Phantom in that telling.

Who knows. what the truth is with these things, especially with Radio Waves, they bounce around all over the place, around corners, long ranges, off the Ionosphere, you name it?

Maybe it was Martians, if you ever watched that US Tv prog, "My Favourite Martian" where Uncle Marvin could move all sorts of stuff around without laying a finger on them.

I was hoping this thread was going to give some words of wisdom to those being looked at by drones.

A few months ago a drone was hovering outside outside our hi rise apartment on the gold coast.

It had its lights out but its movement, sound and I guess it was small camera light gave it away.

I took a photo of it with flash and it ****ed off real quick.

I had a chat to Surfers Police but they said if it cant be id'd theres nothing they can do

They also told me it was illegal to attempt to take them out even if they are being voyeurs.

Also told me it was becoming a common problem.

Next time it occurs RB, sneak up on it from behind the sliding door's Drapes, slowly mind, then when it appears again take a running jump off the balcony & grab the bloody thing.

    High Rise you said?

Hhhmmmmm. I see a slight problem with my suggested solution.

Voyeurs ? It'd be easier & cheaper to put some strides on.
