International Space Station Passing over Brisbane....Wednseday 06 Jan 2021

at 1936hrs or 7:36pm look into the South Western sky about 10 degrees above the horizon.

if the sky is clear you will see a very bright object....the brightest in the sky in fact , slowly climbing up overhead.

If you have a good pair of binoculars you should be able to clearly see the outline or better for approximately 6 minutes as it transitions across the sky.

It will fizzle out at about 13 degrees high above the eastern horizon , North of North East

looking up is the perfect position to help consume a stubby as well.....

If you want the view looking the other way, the ISS has a live feed online (though sometimes it is offline ) and via an app.

It has been a while but a couple of times I have sync'ed (pass times via the app) looking at it pass over in the night sky all while viewing the app live feed of it looking at us here.

Google "Heavens Above...….Brisbane /Perth /Woop Woop " or whatever and you'll get the time direction altitude duration etc. of the ISS.

I looked and looked and looked in this direction, but for the life of me, I couldn't see it!
    Was it the wrong direction?

ISS Passes for next 7 days

    ISS - Visible Passes

If anyone wants any help deciphering just reply here, no need for pm.

Note Sat 23 although not as bright as Sunday duration is longer.....still very bright.....still brightest thing in sky , you should clearly see the ISS with good binoculars

Note Sun 24 at -3.9 magnitude (brightness) you will rarely see anything this bright in the sky.....brighter than saturday but you need to get up early
