Tennis Australia chief executive Craig Tiley, speaking at the time, said the sport welcomed diversity, inclusivity and equality, and the recognition of Court was for her tennis achievements only.
Court said she had not been invited to this year’s Australian Open and, with COVID-19 travel restrictions still in place in her native Western Australia, had given no thought to attending.
