Hell that’s tough!
It’s not out of rego so it’s not that.
You didn’t get the rego on the HWP BMW?
Yesterday arvo a Perentie (rego 89-ARMY) on its way to KLR Automotive was pulled up in their street by the HWP and defected.
I don't know what he was hit for but I suspect it was wheels/tyres. I'll find out next time I go over there. I was just leaving there - he had to wait until I reversed out. The HWP BMW was right behind him. The HWP did a loop around the end of the cul de sac (KLR are at the end of it) and followed me out.
I was hoping he wasn't going to pull me over but when I turned to go into Davis Performance Landys just up the road, he kept going.
I don't know if it was the Hawkesbury region HWP cop who is notorious for pulling over 4WDs and defecting them - allegedly even vehicles that are completely legal.
Dunno what the fine in NSW is for a defect. Does a defect come with demerit points in NSW?

There are a couple of plain clothes HWP BMW’s cruising around the Hawkesbury. A white one and light grey one.. they spend a lot of time on the Putty road and Bells Line of road..

Those HWP officers have been around the Hawkesbury for many years.
It seems their focus is 4wd’s and they seem to ignore speeding and dangerous truck and dogs on Windsor Rd. Not sure why but we definitely get undue attention
My son was defected in my S3 a few years ago and I was pulled over in my Perentie without any issues found. Very unfriendly is an understatement

I was talking to another HWP cop earlier this week - he said there’s one HWP cop who works around Bilpin who issues about 300 fines a month. I had been warned about him some time back so was careful going through there late last year.
I saw him hidden behind some bushes on the northern side of Bells Line of Road.

At risk of falling foul of the Mods; My next door neighbour is in the job here in Vic. Formerly he was in the Met in London. He tells me that the HWP here, and whatever they are called in the UK, are known to the rest of the force as the ***s ( insert rodent here, larger than a mouse but smaller than a gerbil ).
Note: that is not a swear filter dodge.

No, I don't think cops are really into revenue raising. The HWP guy I was talking to says he's lucky to do 50 tickets a month. I started talking to him just to ask how often he sees red light runners because I see them every day and on nearly every trip - often multiple runners at the same set of lights. I've had drivers behind me swere around me to run the red when I've been stopping for them.
This is why I never blast off from the lights on my bike - I check and double check to make sure I'm not going to be taken out by a runner.
