    Canungra Area

    Hey Guys and Girls,

    I am currently in the Tamborine/Canungra area until July and I have my car(D4) with me. Can anyone suggest some tracks or camping spots in the area or up to 150km away. I had a look at the Duck Creek Rd, but all info points to it being closed, which is a shame.

    Really want to take advantage of my time here over the next few months.

    Look forward to some replies!!

    Not wheeling but a visit to Bilbroughs Lookout is a nice short walk with top views when clear. You can see the curvature of the Earth with the horizon.

    Lamington NP has camping and some good walks, if that's your cup of tea.
    I've driven along the border fence track on Levers Plateau but that may have been for work. I can't remember, sorry.
    Wouldn't hurt to ask around, though.

    Governors Chair lookout is another nice trip, not far from the Condamine area that V8Ian mentioned.

    If you like water falls there is the popular Queen Mary falls (with camp/caravan park) but also Teviot falls( can be hard to see), Browns falls, Daggs falls, Koreelah falls with camp ground in Nat'l park, Tooloom falls with camp ground in Nat'l park, some of these are along dirt roads but that won't be a problem for the OP's D4.

    Also Boonoo Boonoo falls, just over the border in NSW, are pretty good with plenty of water.
