I thought probably alloy, in which case it would be a corrosion issue, but if aftermarket steel there could be size issues.

Put wheel nuts on finger tight, lower jack so wheel takes full weight of vehicle.
Rock vehicle or move it about a meter,or so,and it will come lose.
Well went to try again and moved beast back and forth a bit and when I jacked car up I could wobble the
tyre ( I had undone the w/nuts a bit).
Got tyre off and front pads were down a bit, but still got around 5mm of meat left.
So for future reference, what would be the better brake pad.
Ferodo ( have to buy from o/s as no-one here stocks them that I could find) (R FDB 1483 - FR FDB 1597)
Bendix
TRW
Any other brands that are decent/long wearing and reasonable price.
Thanks
DG
p.s. If anyone knows where I could buy Ferodo pads here in OZ,please pm me.
I like Bendix.
Jeepers no “ shire” jokes oh well must just be 🥸
I now always put a film of this on after having a couple of wheels that took serious kicking (on Graeme’s advice) to get off:
NICKELTEC TUBE 65g — Molytec
I swap between factory and Compo wheels quite often- never have a problem now.

Looks like the Ferodo suppliers here don’t stock RR pads - checked a couple of suppliers. “No demand for them” was the reply I got.
I've always found TRW OK on my various LR vehicles. Not very far into my MY12 L322's current TRW front pads I bought 2 sets of TRW front pads very cheaply from Repco during a cleanout sale some months ago which should last me forever.
Homestar,
Yeah I,ve checked all the online auto stores here in OZ to see which ones carry them and no one did. :soapbox:
I can get them from pommyland, but they will be close to $200 with the freight on them.
Think I,ll try the TRW pads next,Graeme said that he,s got them on his beast and he,s finding them alright.

Can't ge my wheel off either, I seem to have lost the locking nut key. :angrylock::censored:
