    Driving on Straddie

I'd be grateful for advice from anyone who has been driving on the Eastern beach of North Straddie with regards to how long either side of high tide the beach is not driveable currently.

I understand that there are some areas where the beach has been washed out such the tide is up higher in these areas than would otherwise be expected.

    Cheers

i was over there in dec last year, the san has probably changed a lot since than

if you work on 2 hours either side og high you should be right there are bits of the northern end that have trackes behind the tree line which can be used at high tide

HI, Was on Straddie at Easter, the beach lost a lot of sand during March from aftermath of cyclones up north, but by now will be built up again.3 hours either side of low and you will be right. Flinders beach can be driven on as well, just avoid 2 hours either side of high.
While on the subject of beach conditions, does anyone know the condition of rocks at Rainbow at the moment.Going on my annual male bonding pilgrimage to Fraser in a few weeks, I much prefer the drive up the beach from Noosa to the inland route through Gympie.

    Regards, Tim
