Angry aaahggh - When a simple task turns to puss

    Well,

It should have been simple..... there is a bit of a rattles... sounds like a loose exhaust bracket...

Got home after dark... but decided - I'll take a quick look.

Climbed under there on my gravel driveway wearing the daughter headlight..so I could see - and there were few rocks caught between the Cat convertor abd the heat shield on one side..... cleaned them out.. sweet no rattle

....While I'm at it, pop the bonnet... take a quick look around...

..mmmm what's that?..... the bleeder valve on the top radiator hose... looks like it is weeping..... touch it to make sure it is tight... mongrel thing fell off in my hand...

    BUGGER.....

Covered from head to toe in warm smelly oily coolant " smilieid="257" class="inlineimg"

Now what do I do??..... no spare hose (yeh I know I should have a spare)...7.30 at night.... got an early meeting at working the morning..

    GGGGRRRRRR........................ not bloody happy...

In desperation I rang Glen at Roverland..... just in case he was still working... YOU BLOODY LEGEND.....he was... fixed me up with a lend of a hose.. till we can get it sorted properly..... thanks again mate..

    The moral of the story.......

DON"T LIFT THE BONNET >>>UNLESS YOU HAVE SOME TIME TO INVEST

a repair for that is a bit of metal or copper pipe.....
cut the hose at the leak.....and fit the pipe inside.....it must be the right diameter to fit.....
and then a couple of hose clamps to hold it all in place......

and dont fret.....its a good thing it happened when it did.....if it fell off on the way to your meeting.....
and the engine overheated......and you missed the meeting.....and you had a huge repair bill.......if......

    i think you were lucky.....
