The point is that vaccines stimulate the immune response in a safe way. Having a live Covid infection is a much more dangerous way of gaining immunity.

…and if it does happen - you don’t want to be a male under 80. Being male and younger, makes you as much as twice as likely to die from COVID if you do get it.

It seems being “male” is an underlying medical condition (if we didn’t already know this).

One of the explanations for this is lifestyle choices (such as alcohol consumption), but also that males are not as healthy as we would like to think we are.
