not sure i would call that way ahead.

chances are when the 80% mark is reached, the rate of vaccinations will slow down as the "objective" has been achieved.
you know what would be funny.
if the govt was putting out false data, so that it underreports vaccinations. so when the govt says we're at 80%, we're really at 95%

ive no evidence of this, just a thought from a cynical mind.
Here's some more cynicism, I heard a theory today that it is actually harder to build up herd immunity with just the vaccinations, it is quicker if some infection is allowed as well!

21 cases yesterday. Four of whom were infectious in the community. Effective R value has been estimated at 0.4 or thereabouts.

Auckland stays at Level 4 and the rest of us moved to Level 2 at Midnight last night. A few increases in requirements at Level 2. Masks and scanning being the obvious ones. Lower numbers allowed inside hospitality premises etc.

Great effort. R sub 1 is a fading dream here. Blown up in NSW.

Hope you get your Double Doughnuts back mate.

That will happen over time anyway, people will still get the coronas, it just wont make them as sick.
