My 94yo Mum has been in John Hunter Hospital in Newcastle for 3 weeks and recently received a new heart valve and a pace maker. I go in each day to see her and have to check in etc using the NSW App. Almost without fail I get the text from NSW Health the next day that from this time to this time a Covid case entered the hospital and I should monitor etc etc etc. Now these Covid cases are not those who were detected in the community and went to hospital or those going to emergency but were many of the great unwashed who like me were just checking in to visit or do other business at the hospital.

Hospitals are one of the few places that still require masks, checkin etc and the Covid hit rate of people visiting is quite high - so more than likely the hit rate elsewhere where people gather must be as high - I agree there is a bit of putting the head in the sand by authorities.

A couple of months back my nephew got Covid and we worked out the only time he could have could it was putting fuel in his car going to work - most likely from the bowser pump. You never when you are going to pick it up.

I wouldn't be taking any notice of any NSW covid app or any other state for that matter, they are all useless and have seen there day.
My apprentice/trainee at work got a few txt messages from NSW, we are in Vic and he hadn't been to NSW and they called him by another name, after a few txts the health authorities called him, he stated he was not the correct recipient , hadn't been to NSW and this was his correct name.
Oh sorry was the response we will fix that, 2 more txts and another call and nothing has changed.
Like most, sorry all government systems it is very broken and pretty much useless so to let it change your behavior or interactions would be just misplaced trust and judgement at best, plain stupid at worst IMO

A couple of days ago I posted that Infuenza A was just as bad as COVID as both my wife and I had negative RATs.

Well on Friday we had the full test and we both have COVID and no Influenza
    .
    It is not Fun.
What is the use of RATS if they are not accurate? When we tested we were both pretty sick already so COVID should have been identified.

Well next week locked down. Getting better a bit every day. My son and his wife also have COVID, although we have not seen them for weeks.

That would explain the reason you see folk wearing those blue disposable Gloves when dispensing fuel..

Who knows the Health Status of the many folk who came before?

    It ain't all over yet.

Australia reports deaths for the last week in the range of 24 to 73, mostly around 50 per day, and there have been more deths from covid this year than last two years combined - and the current rate is climbing, although it is not as high as it was at the end of January - but if the current trend continues, it will be by the end of this month.

So I have to agree - it ain't all over yet!

Look on the Bright Side, with 50 to 70 covid deaths per day, it shouldn't take long to work through ALL the un-jabbed ...

Have we forgotten 'where' all the world's RATs are made ?....

Drink LOTS of green tea and eat Oysters..... If the combo doesn't alleviate the infection (Ionophore + Zinc) it will certainly distract...

Especially if you don't like either !

    Funny man.............................

Still trying to find that reference to what was done in UK, They had a - private enterprise - nation wide Track and Trace, and the story was about topping it up with 37 TRILLION pounds (dollars ?) to make it work... Sort-of, Maybe....
SERCO was a chief beneficiary....- No suprise there !
I reckon is was "Billion", not Trillion. Whatever, it was mega-massive. Even 'Million' should make heads feel insecure. IMHO

Anyway, it's a moot point now,.... seeing that Bunnings, Good Guys and a few others are already using 'A.I. Facial Recognition' in their stores. Plus the extra street CCTV around the place, and tracking your mobile too.

Oysters you said, then await the new 22 Baby Boom. More bloody strife!

That'll be the Green Tea that does that I suppose.
