Must have, couldn't be that ugly unless it was a mask.

Personally, I'm wearing a mask whenever I'm out of the home.
I have been doing that since day dot of this COV19 invasion, It has become second nature now to pop on my mask.
Just because you don't HAVE to wear a mask doesn't stop wearing one being a really good idea.

    10,000 dead .... grim milestone

Last Sunday Australia reached 10,000 deaths from Covid - half of those deaths have been in the last 6 months, as Covid restrictions eased and the virus was able to spread widely.

    Interesting article from the Guardian:

who would have thought? Cruise ships again

Luxury cruise or holiday from hell? I hope they put UVC air purifiers or suitable filters in now but it seem not with QLD and NSW news

What is HVAC and why it infects a lot of people in buildings and ships

Oddly holidays are issues. Family who had at home just ONE now has everyone as home allowed separation and all in close hotel holiday was a very caring (less?) and sharing

Just send a grumpy email out. It is an issue you might like to consider and feel free to chat with your local member, news paper, radio , reporter about Yep I want help From a grumpy medical practice manger

"The lack of coordination with Expanded eligibility criteria for COVID-19 oral antiviral treatments is very frustrating. We are very happy to help eligible patients with Covid Antivirals to help yet are now hindered doing this by two specific very items blocking this .

The two items are GP telehealth and funding home delivery from the pharmacies who are dispensing Covid antiviral medication 24/7 please.

Please Urgently Reactivate long Covid GP phone consultation specifically for Covid antiviral medication and fund home delivery from Pharmacies dispensing Covid antiviral medication 7 days a week or undermine the "Expanded eligibility criteria for COVID-19 oral antiviral treatments"

Doctors considering medical history, current medication and which of the two antiviral TAKES significantly more than a 5 minute phone chat! The cost is added to by ensuring my staff know to take a specific procedure to deal with patients who call with covid positive notification as an issue brought Urgently to the attention of already very busy GPs.

Home delivery from pharmacies is NOT funded for the weekends I was told on Saturday when one of my Doctors took Covid antiviral medication from a Chemist to a person's home on Saturday! Phone calls involved took over an hour! 3 hours unfunded overtime for me to fund again is not appreciated.

Interestingly today at work we have about half staff available in some areas, I was off yesterday feeling a little "off" and stayed home in case something was brewing but woke up fine this morning and RATted negative so came to work. All the people who are off with the covies are those who had been dilligently wearing masks and haven't caught it yet. No one so far facing up for a second dose, vaccination rates within the ACT are very good so in my unscientific observation it would appear that vaccination and prior infection would provide better resistance than just vaccination alone.

FFS! Not again? I thought this had been done to death last time when Rick 130, Paul Scarry & self had it sorted for them?

No-one seems to take notice anymore.
Ah well, it serves them right. There were plenty of warnings out there.

For those folk who were busting their boiler to get on Cruise Ships ASAP were in 2 words, Stupid & shortsighted. The writing was on the wall, as was the bacteria.

Maybe this should be in the Grumpy olde Bastard's section.

Hardly free if one spends the Voyage in their Sick Bay for which they will send you a ginormous bill for Medical Services. I could live with that.
