While this may mean that it could spread more quickly, there is not any indication yet that it will lead to more severe cases.

“We’ve seen this in the past,” Paul Hunter, a professor of medicine at the University of East Anglia in Britain, said in an interview. “You look at the virus and it’s got mutations that should make it more virulent, but then in reality you don’t see that.”

"New version is more infectious, but we don't dare tell you about the historical behaviour of 'corona viruses' which is to morph into a more infectious. AND less murderous malady, so we'll try and sound serious by saying it might get more serious... "

    Howzat for the preamble ?

Hi Des. Just back from a very warm break. Running in 30 plus and very high humidity was in my thoughts cool running

The Novel virus has changed about five or more versions now. The "A “novel” coronavirus (nCoV) is a new strain that has not been previously identified in humans" It just means new

The vaccine I had almost 3 years ago and almost all of the vaccines target the First version only. The newer up to date one is targeting the newer current version of the SNEEZE

This work as "normal" Flu vaccine update every year to target the strains of influenza.

A little side bit was chatting to a young guy from Myanmar while surfing- He hired boards out. He said Covid made a real mess of his family. He said his Aunts, Uncles and his parents all died. Still think we missed a bullet here despite the plane load still dying each week here now.

    130 died last week

Some one I know brought Genuine(??) Kashmiri scarfs and rug for $$$$$$$$$$

They are happy with the purchase! The poor bugger got about $1 AU per day as he is not allowed to work in any job locals would!!! That said $1 per day was a LOT more than almost any of his remaining family made in Myanmar. It is a basket case run by Military madness.

Life is odd as a very good mate who is a NON vaccine type is a mushroom believer. Not saying his belief in his mushrooms for his issues or joy are bad!

It was great to see him again. I would share video of the events yet once seen it can never be unseen! A new person or two suggested or noted a simularity between Midnight oil leads dancing and my movement

Back to Covid. On several flights I noted at least 10 clearly ill people coughing a lot! I did not mask up as Vaccine and my recent likely RSV infection gave me a bit of leeway.

IF in enclosed areas like Medical Centers, flights busses or similar and you have not had a recent vaccine for Flu/ Covid I suggest you think about masking up with a N95 type mask. Taking an ounce of prevention is worth ten tones of cures.

    It's a rather weighty subject, isn't it.
