Over here we drive on the other side, I still remember that it was purchased as a special order since the agent only brought the Non-prestige model.

It was black with a beige leather interior giving this roomy cab the feeling of being more specious.

On one occasion he had to set the suspension on maximum height to ford a flooded road to the amazement of the stuck drivers.

He sold it many years ago, for him it was the car that gave him the most satisfaction driving it.

Mines a standard non-prestige cars. Easily picked by the shorter back doors.

Well we put off buying the boss women a car ..... and we just couldn't find anything that would be a bit of fun .... that wasn't hugely expensive. we ended up buying youngest daughter a little car to learn in as she was very anxious about driving all the big full sized cars here with manual gearboxes.

A little citroen c2 skitzodrive.... that's only has 58,000km on it from new.... Since its arrived she has gone from 1 hour driving practice to about 80hours. So the things been magic for her confidence.

Now boss women has finally found a small fun car she'd like ..... Something I'd never have thought of in a million years. She saw one in a carpark and went and asked the owner "what is this car" ....

Hmmm..... I took one for a drive ... not fast, useless rear seat ... But gee's, what a nice little car to drive.

I have to look at buying #1 son a car.
He has saved up some money but SWMBO has decreed he can only spend half on a car.
I have discovered that there isn't a lot of choice in Curry/Mt Isa but there is an older (late 90's) Subaru Forester for about $5000.
It has a bull bar, is auto, good tyres, A/C & OK interior. Paint is going & it has some minor body damage.
Might do for a first car? We don't want him to have anything flash to damage & drag his grubby mates around in & Subies are AWD & I think pretty reliable.
I will have a look at it if it's still around next time I get down that way.

You will get tired of looking really quickly. I have a passionate dislike for high milage automatics..... .and everything in this price range is high milage (as when, not if that auto dies .... it will cost far more than the cars market value to repair).

I thought foresters had always been great little cars. Its probably best to find a suburu forum and make sure the model your looking at isn't one to avoid.

Wolseley were very cool and sporty. My brother had a 2480 lent itself very well to a very worked 161 Holden motor and 100mph top end...very small fun car with manual gearbox. Cheers

My father bought a new Black Wolseley 24/80 Mk1, always loved that car, performance was quite good, reasonable handling, very comfortable with the leather seats & nice Bur Walnut dash. Would love to own it now. A step up in class from the Holden & Falcon you could buy at the time.

Oh, the Poogoe ..... boss women just put a deposit on it .... crazy right?

its a little poogoe rcz diesel manual. It'll be the one most poeple don't want due to the oil burner .... But that is the thing that caught my eye. It goes remarkably well with 340Nm propelling the little thing down the road. My expectations would I wouldn't like it ..... And I really liked the way it drove. Boss women loved the way it drove ..... as we catapulted down every street she nosed it into Exactly what she wanted, small, fun, and very frugal.
