Some taken today.
Am I missing something, I can't see any pics.
Ignore this, it's just my computer being really slow.
The pics are there now.
Good memory, it does indeed. The previous owner's driveway even looks like mine.
I've recently replaced shocks + springs. The old suspension was extremely soft, no problems getting full articulation (as much as the shocks allowed). The new suspension's Bilstein shocks, Lovell springs and Disco II rubberised spring mounts (front) ruberised ring spacers (rear) - see Mos's thread - Defender 90 with 2" suspension).
Here's a few pics testing the new setup articulation...
... its much better on road
- no body sway around roundabouts at 35km/h,
- plush ride over speed bumps,
- generally improved handling (no more "boating" along the freeway while changing lanes!!)
The jury is still out on off-road performance. The articulation pix posted seem close to the static limit. Pushing on the body on the corner of the third pic, I could get the rear wheel off the ground.
Will it be any better off road in "dynamic" situations?
I guess only time will tell!! - I'll make sure to post an update once I've taken it off-road.
A work in progress alot of work

That's about how much you get with a standard Defender.
In fact you get a bit more.
The reason for the Defender being up on the ramps was so that I could trim a bit off the ribs under the tray.
It used to touch occasionally with the old tyres. With the new ones (same size 235/85/16) it used to touch too easily.
So I now have about 20 -30mm more than that on the back.
Why would anyone want more?![]()
