    I went to the one listed for Derby, WA for our 300Tdi D1. He told me he didn't service them because they were too difficult to work on. All I wanted was an oil and filter change. I bought the stuff at Repco and did it myself.

    yep, forgot about the bottom of the page bit when I replied to you, not dealers only but still no mention of a decent workshop in Carnarvan and the info that is there is very old, surely there must be a decent workshop in a town that big or is that another place where you just don't see any LR's.
    As much as the D4 has been a great car that I love some aspects of LR ownership are just not worth it, OK for those who stay in the city but for remote travel it is harrowing

    Carnarvon seemed big to me 50 years ago when we moved there from Ceduna.
