Full moon photo op (Brisbane nth) today 10/9/22

Yes it is short notice (again). Gunna attempt a full moon shoot this afternoon if anyone in Brisbane (nth) area (sees this in time) is interested in joining me.

I will be on the foreshore at Sandgate at approx 27.3196°S 153.0742°E

This should give a path to see the moon rise behind Shorncliffe Pier and just to the right of Mud Is. with the horizon between Moreton and Nth Stradbroke Is.

I'll be there about 1645-1700. Moon rise is at 1727, sunset is at 1738. So hopefully a little bit of colour in the moon.

    Well that was bollocks!!!

Camera rolled off camera bag I had it sitting on while I set up tripod. No serious damage just a couple of marks. But moved a setting that I didn't notice and I'm snapping away wondering why nothing is working the way it should and getting nothing on the images. I'm swearing at this thing (mostly at myself for letting it fall) thinking I have done some serious damage internally or to the lens and by the time I figure out what is going on the moon had moved on significantly from where I wanted the shot to be so then I became even madder at myself.

Not much to show for my efforts I'm afraid, but camera works as it should with only a little cosmetic damage.

I was heading off to work an hour or so after your intended start and noticed some rather ominous cloud cover. Did it interfere with your plans?
Zoë would like to see those photos.

I was so ****ed off with myself I haven't even had a good look at what I got. I'll have a gander later see if there is anything viable.
