Did you know that Landrover made Jeeps? Well, one, anyway; in 1958 they got as far as shortening a Series 2 88 chassis to fit a Jeep body, but discussions between Willys and Rover came to nothing.

When I was in early prime school, I saw a Series with the
Land Rover oval and lightning slash, but with JEEP cast into it instead of the usual LAND ROVER. For many years after that I thought it was badge engineering, that the Poms were famous for.
I suppose it was badge engineering, by some clever and witty bloke, in his backyard, just not the engineering I thought.
If you don't like trucks, stop buying stuff.
I have noticed this on Market Place, people put a photo up & list as another brand, I have always thought it was to grab your attention,![]()

I thought it might have a Toyo engine, but that doesn't seem to be the case.

I was told one time at a car show when someone call my S1 a Jeep & I corrected them " they are all Jeeps"![]()
