    My mother used Jeep as a generic term for any 4x4 before they got all fancy. I had an aunt who referred to her shopping cart, as her Jeep. I think she was more accurate than my mum.

    My Mum always said there is only one 4X4 and thats a proper LR,not one of those little things(she meant Freelander,but could never remember the name)
    The Series in my sig is the vehicle she travelled in and drove the most,it was the Daily for many years.
    She would take us to school in it on the very odd occasion,that is if it was absolutely hosing down,we were the odd ones out as 4X4's were very uncommon in those days.

    And she used to say,your father always said those Toyotas were bloody rubbish
