A word I’ve come to hate when used to describe communities, etc., is “vibrant”.

Where I live is described as vibrant - I’ve lived in this house for 40 years and I wouldn’t call Emu Plains as vibrant!

A while back, when things were closed down, they were described as 'shut'. Now days they are described as 'shuttered'.

    Weird.

There are so many. But heavy rain, storms, possible flooding etc now has to been a "rain event"...there is so much now that is straight out of the Sir Humphrey Appelby playbook. And weasel words drive me crazy. Just say what it is.

    Cheers

Gifted seems to have universal application in Moronspeak, replacing given, give and gave.
One that does my crust is the 'Princess Highway'.

I'll bet we have members from Wollongong to Crafters who appreciate the Princess Highway.

When those same communities suffer a disaster or tragedy, it seems that every single one of them is "resilient".

    EDIT: and "tight knit".
