    Servicing cost..

I left the series 111 in for an oil and filter change along with changing the complete exhaust system.
I supplied the oil, filter and exhaust system so all I got billed for was the labour. The total cost came to €45 or about 73 AUD. Here's a copy of the bill.

Proof that leprechauns exist, imo. Here they would charge more than that for the time it took for the bloke to scratch his head.

$73 AUD will nearly get you a carton of Guinness here in Queensland ($75@ Uncle Dan's), which would probably be legal tender as well?

Not sure how difficult it is to work on a series 111 but I would think that this is reasonable, even without mates rates

Put car on hoist, drop oil, let it drip, undo a few bolts (rattlegun since who cares if the exhaust clamps break, you got new ones!) you can have the old exhaust out in 5 minutes, placing the new one would take, what, 15 minutes? Since it is all brand new parts that should fit nicely, new clamps and bolts, easy does it.

Pull the filter, screw new one on. New oil top up and presto. COULD be done in 30 minutes, maybe 45 I reckon. Since the going rate for universal garages over here (in my neck of the european, euhm, flats? ) is around 50-60 euro's an hour. 45 seems reasonable.

I hope I will not need to visit many shops during my stay in oz... Better to find a friendly face on here who's driveway or hoist is available!

    Cheers,
    -P
