I am sure both of these are much higher than your net connection anyway. Makes transfer of files over your network pretty slow though.

Oh and to keep it on topic........I use Exetel. No complaints but I'm going to go on a lower plan. They were talking about bringing out a 512kb download with a lower download limit. I never go anywhere near my limit of 12gb considering that downloading from 12am to 12pm does not count.
Speed wise, I agree...but for people wanting more range (House to garage, house to garden, or bloody big house!), MIMO/n is an option they should know about, as it may save the expense of extra wiring, an extra access point or Ethernet-over-Mains (Which I have to use here!). To me, it's advantage isn't it's speed so much, as 54Mb will be fine for ADSL connectivity as you say.Quote:

Wireless setup is a skill in itself - location and channel selection (In busy areas) are everything.... A MIMO chipset in the router will help, but you need the adapter in the client to be MIMO as well to get the full benefit. Expect better range, but buy from somewhere like Office Works so you can take it back if it still doesn't help you...it's also worth considering a different type of aerial, or multiple access points if you really want to do the job properly.
