Hello Ron,
So, you must have read this article too ... Accessed 5th October 2023 from, Listening To Heavy Metal May Actually Make You Calmer, Study Finds | HuffPost Impact The article is based off Queensland research a copy of the journal article can be accessed via Just a moment...

How about Gloryhammer, powerwolf and... Alestorm? YAR!

Yeah I subscribe to the heavy music theory.
Ron's list is a good 'un and I'd add early Black Sabbath and Judas Priest.
Back in uni days, to drown out the sound from noisy hall of residence corridors, I'd fall asleep to a bit of Pink Floyd (particularly the album Wish you were here), also Massive Attack and Portishead.

Gee, Come on you metal heads.... what about Iron Maiden! No more lies... a song I frequently play immediately after attending a meeting with management. Or a plan of action to avoid being in the same situation happening again with the smt - yes, I should write it as capitalisation for senior management team.. however, they simply do not deserve such recognition ... anyway I digress ... I should follow the suggestion of Run to the Hills. Ideally, I should be following the advice of Wildest dreams ...
I'm gonna organise some changes in my life
I'm gonna exorcise the demons of my past
I'm gonna take the car and hit the open road
I'm feeling ready to just open up and go
Hmmm... no surprises there :0)

Good grief. Chill-out was the premise.... While I can appreciate music listed so far, most of it makes me wish I was rich enough to buy a Fender Strat and use it to demolish a luxury hotel room.
I second Dennis with Enigma. I'll chuck in Clannad with a smattering of Enya. Kate Bush's double album masterpiece Aerial, plus Hounds. Floyd's Animals and Wish. Dylan's Blonde on Blonde and Blood on the Tracks. The Beatles from Revolver on. Some Crowdies.
There is of course a lot more.
Now I think I'll shatter the calm here with some Zep and Nirvana.
