Thread: Tense Sunday morning

Got a text from our daughter who is working in A and E at a hospital. At 9.00am they were advised of a possible major incident as a private plane was trying to land at a nearby airport but it's landing gear would not come down and it was circling. Her text came at 11.00am saying all was well and the emergency was stood down. Must have been a tense couple of hours.

Legs up landings are fairly routine, if infrequent. Generally the nearest trauma center would be asked to stand by, but they're rarely (thankfully) called to action.
