Do you have one of these, Inc? Mine arrived today, but I can't get it to work. It needs an internet connection. My tablet can only connect to one device at a time.

    Any experience?

Did you get it working Ian?

Normally with these types of cameras after you download the App, you then have to connect the wifi to the camera first, before you then open the App.

This establishes the wireless network between the phone/tablet and camera before you open the App.

Not yet, neither my tablet nor phone can recognise the QR code, as such. Searching the App Store offers multiple options from various vendors, most of which do not look trustworthy.

Does it offer a QR code for iOS? If so, could you take a pic of it and send it to me? Just out of curiosity and a test.

    Any experience?

The Apps always look cheap and questionable. Pretty normal for this type of gear.

So no luck searching for the App “JoyTrip” in Google Play? The developer is “Joyhonest”.

It looks to be a fairly basic app on iOS and even has a simple user manual in English.

Also try “MH Cam” or “SWD Camera”.

You will only use the app when offline, and then close it fully when done.

If it is any comfort, all pass Apple’s requirements which is normally a good sign, but that is not to say the Android version is the same.

That was the purpose of my request. 's sandboxing has its good points.

I saw 'Joy honest", that was the one that set the alarms off.
I'll look into it this arvo, after I've been to the little smoke.

Hey you are on Android - that alone should be setting alarms off…….🤣

The upside of Android, is developers have more freedom and can offer better functionality. JoyTrip on Android has more customisable settings compared to the iOS version.

You will find mixed reviews being a free app developed with basic functionality, but Joyhonest has been around for sometime now (founded in 2006) and is an electronics hardware designer and manufacturer based in Shenzen that also supplies free apps for their products. If you open up the camera, you will probably find they supplied the PCB and internal hardware.

Their moto is “Honest living. Happy work”.

That kind of naming is so very Chinese. It can lose something in the translation but I wouldn't let it deter you.

Thanks DB, I've got it working but its functionality as a reversing camera is limited. It has a delay of 2~3 seconds and is very jerky, not to practical trying to hook up a DO 35 coupling that requires considerably more precision than a 50 mm ball and cup.
