I am Humbled by many people. He is one of a few I mourn the potential to change world records likes of Roger Bannister 4 minute mile or anything moving or thinking breaking the human ordinary mold. One of our RIP includes a Western Port Fisherman to the end! RIP
I agree he was an immense talent and a great loss to the sport, I heard he was the driver in a car accident and not actually running, which would somehow seem even more tragic to me.

On a lighter note ND you could put your military and running talents to good use in France, as they are looking for people to guard the Olympic torch as it parades it's way around the countryside. Maximum security for the Olympic Torch route in France (insidethegames.biz)

If I want to move fast I ditch the Landrovers and jump in SWMBO's 5.4 litre V8

As for the bloke, I also join the ranks of "never heard of him"
    Dave.

I was asked " Is it ignorance or apathy?" I replied "I don't know and I don't care."

No stress. I had not heard of a Land Rover Perentie despite driving one

Let that be a warning: Don't do gratuitous exercise. You only have so many tics in your ticker.
    Cheers, Billy.

One of my mum’s cardiologist colleagues used to say that too. You’re only born with so many heart beats, don’t waste them. He clearly wasn’t a runner either.
    Cheers

Mercedes used it as well. They claimed that driving an S Class slowed your pulse rate and therefore you would live longer.....

I tuned my Defender to exceed the speed of light. Now I can get home before I leave and I'll only be seven years old.
    Cheers, Billy.

People say that light is the fastest known thing. They are wrong. No matter how fast light travels, the darkness is always there waiting for it.

    So, you'll probably be 8.

Eventually the black hole event horizon is inescapable Billy.

And, I shouldn't take credit for this particle - ur humour. I was channeling Terry Pratchett.
